No Not I
Was my quick reply
when asked about things emotional
I am resolute
indepedant toboot
there is no way
I will become entangled
I have no intention
of making a mess
No notion in mind
to cause myself stress
by sharing my life with another.
But lately it seems
the idea's redeemed
and the pounding
has shown me some issues
To be alone in a storm
all battered and torn
Makes no sense
if it can be avoided
Does the out pouring of love
as well as trust in above
make one more peaceful
when facing adversity?
Does the friendship
and support
and boost in esteem
mean
resilience
and
equanimity?
What's the last thing you usually do or think about before you fall asleep?
I do an inventory of my day and see whether there are things I need to straighten out.
I also thank god for the pirvileges I have,
Jo

All Moves as a spiral |
"I know" That is the easy part

Is there a friend who you owe a phonecall or email? What's stopping you?
I have been really behind with emails and phone calls.
I went on holidays for a fortenight this weekend - so I have already started catching up.
Whew!

Lizard looking at me
Stare
Nothing takes you unaware
You take your time
and when you find
people don't do it for you
anymore
You scatter back
to the sandy shore
the River's edge
it is your home
A place that belongs to you
to roam
We are invited
and sometimes not
Today
when you had enough
to the water you shot
uncaring.

When I saw this lizard to day in exactly the same place that I photographed him at Christmas he seemed as though he still knew me. To be true I walk along there often and stop to look for as long as he will allow me. It is a strange land though the animal kingdom - do they accept us? really?
The poem below was written long ago about the same lizard I think I know!

You sat so still I did not notice as I scanned the waterways Looking for photos to turn into songs is an important part of my days. You did not flicker you did not flinch I could have easily moved on But as my camera scanned the patchy mossed rock Your shape was erect and seemed “latched on" That’s when I saw you I wonder why lizards sit up so straight and strong Not to be unearthed or unerved I wanted to get closer and began to sneak forward for a while there you stayed and did not move |
But as I approached with a sneaking stealthy gait You eventually turned your knowing head You began to sidestep just slightly and then inched a little bit more No matter how softly I tread I snapped and snapped Knowing that at any sec you would begin to dart and weave So I got as close as I could and then SPARK you up and took your leave. |

Can I already hear your objections? |
What movie can you quote by heart?
Submitted by clamhead.
I can quote little bits of it?
"surely it cannot be wrong to love in a place such as this?"

No More Conjecture
I have tried to reach out to you
and find you are not able
You seem trapped within your own head
It turns your heart to stone
Are you locked in there?

I feel like I need to carve
and chip away
to find your form
If every spiral I carve away
was the foray
that travelled within
If every thought you tracked as a witness
Less of your reactions would be just a whim
YOUR CRITIC SHRIEKS!
IT SQUEALS AND SQUEAKS
The chatter.
clatters and drills
Now drilling is fine
If you want to carve and mine
and find a pathway within
Spiral In
Spiral Out
TOUCH THE WORLD
I LOVE YOU
This is true
You ask how I know?
Well if the definition of love is
"Accepting love of other
AS OTHER"
Then I am content to let you
BE
What I have learned is to live in the NOW
To accept where we are at this minute
I don’t accept the task to
Rescue
or to
Teach
And as we come to a place that is finite
I have moved to a space
Been there many a year
Where I have looked at my patterns
and follies
I can tell what is real
What contrives just to steal
I can face my fears
But know when to retreat to complication
I wish you well
Although I sense you’re in hell
And I wonder can you get yourself out of it?
It takes quite some time
and energy and love
to be able to drop all of this
So what to do?
You go on your way
Pay the price you must pay
For a confused and restricted imagining
but
if you break free
come back I might be
still open for love and companioning
If not
who knows
a relationship might grow
that is different in nature and texture
Why think past today
No
I will just say Au Revour
Let’s not dwell
in conjecture
Why don't you find a photo write a poem and post it here? I am happy to give or receive feedback.

In my article 14 Reasons Wwhy Artists Keep Visual Journals I talk about why we journal. I am constructing this Blog to show how the process unfolds. I will be Blogging in a poetic descriptive style. However at time I will show how video and animation can broaden theway we capture nuance. Inspirational Journal Burst forth spray your seed across the bay Sprook your wisdom widely as you fall amongst the sand Bury in the land Watered by the salty sea Soothed by rain that splashes wild and free Take hold and grow up tough and strong With roots like poles no mistake |
They will hold on no matter where you stake your craggy hold The truth will be told Fearless and bold Break the mold Split that rock that would bind You will find your freedom! |
